Hi There! I’m Megan Boynton (The Digital Freedom Fighter)
and I am so glad you stopped by!
My favorite game growing up was one I played with my little sister. We would take blank sheets of lined paper and write little stories about our cats or the neighbor boy that we both had a crush on. Then, we would cut out those stories into column shapes and glue them onto big pieces of brown construction paper. We were the best and most impressive reporters around! I think we stole the idea from the movie “little women”. Remember their secret society meetings in the attic? Ahhh nostalgia!
As I grew up I forgot about my love of writing and storytelling. I became really involved with fitness and wellness, which is what I ended up studying and receiving my bachelors degree in. The majority of my time in a 9-5 job was as a physical therapy tech. I absolutely LOVED meeting and spending time with people one on one. I thrived on helping their bodies to recover from injury and become stronger, but more importantly, that I had the ability to build a real friendship with each person and hear their amazing stories.
When I became a mother, I decided that I wanted to spend as much time as possible with my family. I hated the thought of leaving my kids to go back to work. I wanted to be present for my girls the way my own mother was for me. That’s when I decided that I needed to think outside the box. I started thinking about all the things I love and determined to find a way to fit those things into my life regularly. I live for spending quality time with people I love. I am very interested in fitness and lately have become really excited about Spartan races. I just completed my first Super Spartan this year and can’t wait to complete my next big spartan goal: The Trifecta!
I had almost completely forgotten about the game we used to play as kids, but somehow, as I started exploring and opening my mind again I also re-discovered my love of storytelling. This blog will be a place for me to share my adventures, experiences, and knowledge that I gain as I chase my dreams. My posts will be based on two of my favorite topics, fitness and travel. You’ll also see quite a bit about the digital marketing business I started this year. It’s been a big year of change, growth, and learning!
I am married to a registered nurse who was JUST accepted to nurse anesthatist school starting June 2018! I am so proud of him. We have two small girls (3 years and 18 months). I love spending my days with them! I have high hopes of showing them how to pursue their passions in all walks of life. It’s NEVER too late to learn a skill, pursue a dream, or go on an adventure.
That’s what this blog is about. I hope to inspire and uplift those who come across these words 🙂
